STATEMENT OF PURPOSE

We are a network that promotes wholeness amongst clergy.

 

“And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, 
and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength.”

The Healthy Preacher Movement is centered in the Biblical concept of Shalom, which means wholeness, health, prosperity, and the absence of agitation or discord.

 

 

STATEMENT OF BELIEF

We believe that preachers of the Gospel of Jesus Christ shouldpersonify excellence in the three areas of wholeness:

SPIRITUALITY, SCHOLARSHIP AND SOMATICS.

 

SPIRITUALITY – Of the spirit

A process for personal transformation in accordance
with Christ-centered spiritual disciplines.

 

SCHOLARSHIP – Of the mind

Critical academic study that engages passion,

research and intellectual development.

 

SOMATICS – Of the body

Practicing a regimented schedule of daily exercising,

good nutritional intake, and adequate rest.
